What we collect, why we collect it, and what we do not do with it. Last updated August 2026.
What this covers
This policy applies to https://softcliq.com and to enquiries you send us through it. Our hosting and SMS portals have their own terms, which apply once you log in to them.
What we collect
- Details you send us. Your name, email address, phone number, organisation and the content of your message, when you use the contact or quote form.
- Your email address, if you subscribe to occasional notes.
- Technical information recorded with an enquiry — your IP address and browser user-agent — kept to identify and block automated abuse of the forms.
- Anonymous usage statistics, if analytics are enabled, showing which pages are read. IP addresses are anonymised.
Cookies
We store one small item in your browser to remember whether you chose the light or dark theme, and one to remember that you dismissed the cookie notice. Neither identifies you. If analytics are enabled, the analytics provider sets its own cookies; you can block these in your browser without affecting the site.
Why we use it
To reply to your enquiry, prepare a proposal, deliver a service you asked for, and keep the forms free of spam. That is the whole list.
What we do not do
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We do not add enquiry addresses to a marketing list without you asking. We do not use your data to train anything.
Who else sees it
Only SOFTCLIQ staff working on your enquiry, and the service providers who host our site and deliver our email. Where the law requires disclosure, we comply — and tell you unless we are prohibited from doing so.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for up to 24 months so we can pick up a conversation where it left off. Subscriber addresses are kept until you unsubscribe. Ask us and we will delete either sooner.
Your rights
You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, or withdraw consent at any time. Write to info@softcliq.com and we will respond within 30 days.
Security
The site is served over HTTPS, form submissions are validated and rate-limited, database access uses prepared statements, and administrative access requires a password stored only as a hash. No system is perfect; if we ever discover a breach affecting your data, we will tell you.
Changes
If this policy changes materially, the date above changes with it and the previous version is available on request.
